At McCook Meadows, our lesson program is built around safe, confidence-building instruction for riders of all ages and experience levels. From private lessons and group lessons to evaluation sessions, camps, and future competitive opportunities, we strive to create a supportive program that helps riders grow in skill, responsibility, and confidence while enjoying the everyday experience of life at the barn. 

We proudly welcome beginner through advanced riders and offer programs tailored to recreational riders, horse lovers, future competitors, and those interested in expanding their equestrian education through opportunities like leasing, clinics, shows, and 4-H involvement.

We offer instruction in both English and Western disciplines with a strong focus on horsemanship, rider confidence, safety, and developing a true partnership with the horse. Lessons are designed to meet each rider where they are, allowing students to progress at their own pace while building a solid foundation both in and out of the saddle. 

Our program goes beyond simply learning how to ride. Riders are encouraged to develop hands-on horsemanship skills including grooming, tacking, horse care, barn etiquette, and overall horse knowledge alongside their riding instruction.
